The wish could have produced bleached hair, but it decided to produce natural hair instead. Fortunately for Jasmine, blonde hair is controlled by recessive genes--to be blonde, you need to get the gene from both your parents. Having one grandfather from America would not be enough to produce blonde hair--the other side of her family would have had to have it somewhere too, and that was pretty unlikely if they only had African blood.
As a result, Jasmine's history was suddenly American again. Sarah had not changed Jon into an African, she had changed Jon into an American girl. Still black but ligther-skinned, her hair was long and blonde, and Sarah's different spell had not taken away her ability to speak English.
"I'm not sure what happened" she said. "But I understand everyone now. It's a little less confusing. Now what's going on here?"
"It went too far," said Karyn. "It was a prank. Jasmine, I wished that the cheerleaders use magic to turn guys into cheerleaders."
"That was you?"
"But I knew it went too far. I tried to stop it! I wanted to make Sarah undo her spell. But it was too late because I had changed time back so the stone had vanished. Believe me, Jon, I really meant to stop it!"
Jon Maxwell looked confused, not sure who Karyn was talking to.
"Not you, Jon, I mean Jon as Jasmine, she got it from her grandfather."
"But I got it from my grand-uncle," said Jon.
"No you didn't," said Karyn. "Jasmine there is the original Jon. She got it from her grandfather. But with the spell different people married different people and you're a slightly different Jon with slightly different relatives. Even though your parents look a lot like Jon's parents. Fortunately I knew Jasmine would get the stone again."
"What?" asked Jasmine.
"I wished that you'd wish for long blonde hair and big boobs. That couldn't happen unless you got the stone."
"What?? How could you do that?"
"I wasn't thinking!" exclaimed Karyn. I told you I tried to reverse everything. I really would have gotten Sarah to stop it all but the stone was gone by then."
"Well," said Jasmine, "it's not gone now. I'm gonna get her to stop it myself..."
"Hey," said Jon. "Watch it! If you just wish yourself back, do I disappear? If I'm here because Sarah changed your history, if she unchanges it, am I gone again?"
"I didn't think of that!" said Jasmine. "Okay... I wish that Sarah will change me back to someone a lot like Jon but Jon is still around, and we all know the new history." And Jasmine transformed....
... her skin whitening. And then things just stopped.
"I'm a girl," said Jasmine, touching her ample breasts. "Still a girl. The wish for hair and breasts... It probably kept me a girl so I have a reason to keep the breasts."
"You are a lot like Jon," said Karyn. "That part worked. You two look the same except you're a girl and are blonde. You're probably twins... No, I know you're twins. We all know that. Hey, maybe if you wish to become a guy with big breasts it'll let you."
"No more pranks!" yelled Jasmine.
