Jon went straight to his sister's closet, opened it, and pulled out an outfit that he normally would never wear, even in private. It consisted of a black T-shirt over a ripped fishnet shirt, a black leather miniskirt, fishnet stockings, and a pair of black knee-high buckled boots with four-inch stacks. Not only was it Goth clothes, but it was also girls clothes.
As he put the clothing on, his sister Zoe quietly got out of bed, then dressed in only her underwear, she walked mindlessly out of her room, in search for new clothes.
By the time Jon had placed a spiked collar around his neck, Zoe was long gone. And it was at that moment when Jon suddenly snapped out of it. He looked down at himself in shock. "What the hell?" he uttered. Why was he dressed in his sister's clothing?
He quickly took everything off, feeling weirded out and embarrassed, but relieved that Zoe wasn't around to see that, or his mom, dad, or brother, for that matter, then high-tailed it back to his bedroom where he got dressed in his normal clothing.
Except ... it wasn't quite normal. He and everyone else would be unaware as his belongings (his clothing, his bedroom, etc.) changed, becoming more akin to something belonging to Zoe. And Jon himself would be changing too, into a girl. But he wouldn't be replacing a person who already existed, becoming either an exact copy or variant. He, or rather she (when the transforming was complete) would still be the oldest sibling of the Gibson family, but would be a Goth girl named Gena, thinking that that's who she had always been. And all of reality would support the fact that she had always been Gena. Zoe was currently on her way to find new clothing, and the same would happen to her. Whoever's clothing she chose, Zoe would snap out of it after completing putting on the outfit, then obviously try to figure out where she was and why she was wearing what she was wearing, not realizing that all of her belongings back home were slowly transforming to closely match the belongings of whoever's clothing she chose.
Jon didn't even blink when he saw that all of his T-shirts were either gray or black. After all, he liked those colors. He also didn't notice that some of his favorite sci-fi novels had been replaced by dark fantasy romance books. At the moment, these were the only things that were different, but soon there would be more changes.
Seeing that he'd be running late for school, Jon decided to pass on checking on the stone. He was sure it was still in the place he hid it ... he'd just check it out later, after he got back from school.

Meanwhile, Zoe had mindlessly walked into a house, the front door opening easily for her, then made her way to a bedroom. But whose bedroom?
