First, Jon could not believe what he had just said. Then it all seamed to fade away, just like a dream in the morning, and just like a dream, he did not think about it any further.
The next few days passed and Jon had almost forgotten about the stone when Karyn called and asked him about it.
"Jesus, how could I have forgotten?" Jon said and looked around his room in search of the stone. "Hold on a minute." He quickly looked at all his usual hiding places but could not find any trace of the stone. Finally he found it on top of his dresser, like any other of his useless trash.
"I found it!" he told her. "Good!" Karyn said. "I can't believe how careless you are Jon! You should hand it over to me instead, I wouldn't loose it at least!" And to Karyn's surprise, Jon answered "Sure, I will bring it next time we see each other." "Eeh, are you sure Jon? I mean it was your grandfather's." "Of course, I won't miss it, I hardly remember I had it." "Alright..." Karyn said skeptically "why don't you bring it overt right away? I'm not doing anything special at the moment." "Sure." Jon answered and hung up. He was not doing anything special either.
