My memories told me we were back in our room. But I wasn't the room I had left an hour ago when I went to eat breakfast.
The room was now a trapezoid. The two sides and the shorter "base" were each 12' long. The longer "base" was 18' long. That longest side was the entrance, because it was the only one with floor to ceiling pink curtains. The base opposite it was a floor to ceiling stained glass window, a lot like the one in the old room. The other two walls were pink marble, again like the old room. However, that's were the similarities ended.
The bed was now faceing and about five feet way from the stained-glass wall and had been transformed into Jon-me's picture of horror and Karyn and mine's picture of beauty. The actual queen sized bed still only had a silk sheet and fluffy comforter, but the comforter now had lace attached to the top. But now it was a canopy bed, the top and sides of which were a thin silk. The curtains were pulled back, allowing me to see the four poofy full sized pillows with lace trim, and the three cute heart shaped pillows. Attached to the back of the bed was a full length mirror.
Along one of the marble walls was series of bookcases each four feet high and filled with books and on the opposite wall was a equally tall series of dressers. Above them on both sides were beautiful abstract paintings.
' A half dozen squashy couches like the one Karyn and were sharing were spread across the room. But that's where things differed from the norm. Before everything I'd seen had been all old world fancy stuff. I'd seen no evidence of the high-tech society we should have if we were capable of space travel. But now...
On one of the far couches was an extremely slim laptop. The book cases and the dressers shared some wall space with a pair of huge speakers. Near the bed was a table that looked like one of those things you can put Wii remotes on to charge them, and it had what looked like a tablet computer sitting on it.'
I was completely in love with this room. It was perfect for my tastes.' I turned to look at Karyn in amazement, certain that my face was reminiscent of a child's at Christmas.' "This is, amazing!" I finally stuttered out.
"There's only one question though."
"What's that?"
"Do we try out the bed or our wings first?" she grinned. I laughed, because I was thinking the same thing. Oh God how I loved this girl!
