Cherry thought back to hys encounter with Zane and Nathen. Goddess, gurls could be so controlling sometimes. Even hys gurlfriend Cynth Cook could be sometimes. Like, whenever they went out on a date, Cynth would expect Cherry to act a certain way and look a certain way, like a young manne should; meanwhile, shi didn’t care as much about hir own appearance.
It frustrated Cherry sometimes. Why couldn’t women act more like menne? Take care of their appearance more and be kinder to menne? And then, it hit hym. Hei knew exactly what hei should wish for.
“I wish that all the women would act and dress masculinely.” Hei smiled as hei was forced to look away while the stone granted hys wish. Soon the world would be a better place.
Looking around hys room, Cherry could see no immediate changes—but then, of course, hei wouldn’t—so hei turned on hys TV to see what the world looked like.
To hys disappointment, after flicking through a number of channels including the news channel, hei couldn’t see that hys wish had any effect. The lead anchorwoman still wore a suit and had slightly greying hair, while the younger and much prettier anchormanne still wore a stylish dress.
Cherry had, of course, forgotten that the wishing stone only affected a certain range, and it certainly wouldn’t affect the TV unless hei specified that it would.
Sulking, Cherry slumped on hys bed.
