Cherry Marineza was walking home, followed by hys usual entourage of googling gurls when hei spotted Zane and Nathen sitting on the wall across the street. They seemed to be chatting about something and Zane was holding some kind of box.

What are those two losers chatting about? Cherry wondered. Hei frowned and, after a few minutes, hei decided that it was worth investigating. With a click of hei fingers, hys female entourage quickly dispersed, and Cherry was on hei own. Hei flashed hys trademark smirk before crossing over.

“What’s in the box, Zane?” Cherry called out as hei sauntered over to the two gurls. Zane, startled by Cherry’s appearance, nearly dropped the box, but shi quickly caught it before glaring at Cherry.

“It’s none of your business, Cherry. Leave us alone.”

“Well, that’s not very nice. I was only curious. You two seemed to be talking pretty intently over it.”

Before either of the gurls could react, Cherry snatched the letter out of Zane’s hand and started reading it. Zane tried to grab it back, but thanks to Cherry’s advantage in the height department, hei was able to keep it out of hir reach.

Cherry’s eyes opened in disbelief as hei read the letter. Once hei had finished, hei alternated between looking at Zane and the box in hir hands.

“A wishing stone? You can’t be serious.”

Zane reluctantly nodded.

“It’s true, as fantastic as it sounds, it’s true.” Shi pointed over to the tree that Shi had demonstrated to Nathen earlier. “You see that branch over there?”

Cherry followed hir finger and noted the blue branch. “So what? It’s a blue branch, that’s always been like that.”

Zane and Nathen looked at each other before they realised what shi was saying. Since Cherry hadn’t heard the wish, hei thought that it was normal for the branch to be blue.

“Well, it wasn’t until a few moments ago when I showed Nathen the stone.”

Cherry frowned. “Come on, you’re making this up.”

Zane sighed and took out the stone. Nathen grabbed her hand and looked at her. “Do you really want to be showing hym the stone?” shi warned. Zane shrugged hir shoulders.

“What else can I do? Hei’s seen the letter.” Shi took the stone and looked at the branch. Shi had an idea.
“I wish that for the next 5 seconds, that that branch would turn red.”

“Wha…?” Cherry began but hei was interrupted by the stone granting the wish and forcing hym to close hys eyes for a few moments. When Cherry opened them again, the branch that was blue was now red, before it quickly changed back to being blue.

“No way!” Cherry exclaimed as hei realised that the stone was real, thinking of all the power that hei could have. Hei read the letter again. “So the only reason that I thought that branch was supposed to be blue was because I didn’t hear the wish?”

Zane and Nathen nodded.

“Awesome! Think of the things that I can do with that power!”

Zane quickly put the stone down, keeping it out of reach of Cherry and shook hir head. “No, Cherry, it’s too dangerous.”

Cherry pouted. “But I could be the king of the school!” hei whined.

“You’re already the king,” Nathen retorted.

“But I could be so much more,” Cherry replied as hei reached for the stone.

A three-way struggle started as both gurls and the boi fought for possession of the stone. Although both gurls were stronger than Cherry, he somehow managed to retrieve it from their grasp.

Striking a victory pose, Cherry flashed them a smile. Holding the stone in hys hands, Cherry made hys first wish.

“I wish that I was in my bedroom at home with this stone.”

“No!” Zane cried out but it was too late and they were forced to look away. When they looked back, Cherry was gone.

“Shit.”
