The students started to spread out into their respective cliques. Jon decided to stick with his friends Sean and George. They were pretty nerdy, like him, but with a little less social grace.
"Oh and one more thing!" Lizzy yelled out behind them. "The park's information is incomplete. So not all the springs are labelled. So for an added incentive, if you happen to use an unknown spring, please do inform us of its...qualities...for some cash compensation."
Some of his classmates murmured, but everyone was still walking along giving each spring a healthy distance.
"Well this should be exciting," said George, looking exasperated.
"No way in hell am I going in any of these pools," said Sean.
Jon was in no way going to deal with their negative attitudes. So he excused himself to the bathroom, made a wish to make them more excited and turned on by the possibilities here, and returned.
"This is going to be amazing!" said George. "I wanna earn some money!"
"Come on Jon let's go!" said Sean. "Let's find a spring that isn't labelled!"
They all bounded down the track, nearly toppling students as they went.
About 100 feet around a bend, Sean slipped in a puddle and tumbled face first into a nameless spring. Jon and George gathered on the side to see what had befallen their friend.
