Jon reached out and touched Karyn's new male hand and said "Swap." But nothing happened. Jon was still stuck as a girl.
Karyn looked at him oddly. "What are you doing?"
Why didn't it work? Her wish was clear. She should have been able to swap back. Maybe it would take a few tries to do it (since the swaps were random), but eventually she'd be able to get back to normal.
"Come into my room, so nobody sees us"
"okay..." karyn responded following jon into her room and closing the door, "now why are we like this jon? Why'd you wish for this?"
"I didn't wish for this exactly I wished that when i say swap i either swap personalities gender mind or age with a person i touch, I don't know why it didnt work when i did it the second time, wait here the stone is in the bathroom, I'll get it"
Jon ran out of the room, Karyn stood there still reeling in her new body, Jon was back in a flash, closed the door again and said "I wish I knew why I didn't swap again just now"
The stone glowed and suddenly the information appeared in her mind. Apparently, the ability takes some time to recharge before another swap can occur. Also, the stone told her that there was no way around this, even though she hadn't specified it in the wish. There was no way to have her ability without recharging. According to the stone, Jon had to wait a minimum of one hour before being able to swap again.
"It only works every hour, so I'm stuck like this for at least an hour, and I might not even get the right swap.... uggghhh this wasn't how i wanted this to go"
"hey what about me, I wasn't planning on being a boy all of a sudden, even if it sorta fixed my big breast problem"
That's when Jon noticed that not only was he a girl, he had looooong blond hair and the biggest breasts in his family, he had gotten Karyn's wish from before, 'no fair' he thought
"Well..." karyn started "what do you want to do for an hour or so, we could go to the mall, I mean this is a new experience and all, and it seems like at some point you planned on being a girl, you put gender in the wish after all."
"that's true, only by the looks of it reality doesn't change so I'm not sure if my parents will recognize us, or maybe we both remember because we were part of the swap."
"well either way I say you get your keys and we go to the mall."
