"The transformation that you've been assigned is to become a girly-girl."
"A girly-girl?" asked Karyn.
"Yes," said the nurse. "Your personality profile states that you have strong tomboy tendencies. This proceedure will shift your personality to the other end of the spectrum; to that of an extremely feminine girl. You will dress in extremely feminine fashions, enjoy traditionally femenine activities and will act in an extremely feminine and sexy manner." The nurse gave Karyn a folder detailing the process.
"Is there anything else I should know?" asked Karyn.
"There are a few specifics that I'd like to point out," said the nurse. "Page three details some of the particulars. I hope you like skirts, because you'll be wearing them a lot. You'll also be boy crazy, if you aren't that already. There are a few physical changes, mostly a larger chest and fuller lips. Don't worry. Every tomboy who's undergone this has loved being a girly-girl."
Karyn stared at the folder. She knew that there was nothing wrong with being a girly-girl, but that was not how she saw herself. But there was no way to get out of this now.
