"Which class do you need to get to?" Athena asked Taylor. She looked at the new girl, noticing again how much she looked like Zoe (a non-Goth Zoe), and that's when she spotted yet another new girl. And this one had the same aura as Zoe. Except ... she didn't really look much like her.
The chubby blond-haired girl looked down at her class schedule, then all around her. She was obviously lost.
"Wait here a minute," Athena told Taylor.
"I don't have time to wait. I'll just look for the class myself," Taylor said, with a bit of irritation in her voice. Then she left.
Athena took one more glance at Taylor as she walked off, then she turned back towards the girl who had Zoe's aura, but who was definitely not Zoe.
As she approached her, Athena saw that this new girl also wore wire-frame glasses and wore braces on her teeth. Her clothing was plain. Just a worn T-shirt (which had sweat stains underneath the sleeves, Athena noticed), a pair of jeans, and a pair of dirty sneakers.
"Are you lost?" Athena asked.
The new girl looked up from her schedule and sniffed. "I'm new here. I don't ... um ... I don't know where my ... um ... class is."
That was another thing that definitely made this girl not Zoe. Zoe was always very assertive, very aggressive. This girl was as shy as hell.
"My name is Athena. What's yours?"
Part of Athena thought she'd say 'Zoe', but only because Zoe and this girl shared the same aura. The similarities stopped there. "Dorothy."
Dorothy? Athena thought. What a god-awful name!
