Before Karyn could answer, the DTH bleeped.

"What is it this time?" She asked.

Jon looked at the screen of the DTH. "It's okay it's just a new divergence point."

"Is it going to do that every time it happens now?"

Jon pressed some buttons on the DTH. "I've set it to vibrate. Okay carry on with what you were saying about outsourcing."

"Well I was thinking we're not the only Jon and Karyn with a DTH. There was a load of them when we rescued ARD Jon. When we travelled back up the timeline we've met other versions of ourselves as well."

Yet again Jon was surprised with Karyn's reasoning skills. "Wow, it's my turn to ask you Karyn. Have you been taking the clever pills?"

She stared at him. "I don't need clever pills or a wish. I've got my head round how it all works. It's just taken me a bit longer that's all."

Jon had to admit she was right. His own arrogance again had stopped him from seeing the truth. "Fair point. So what is your plan?"

"Well, maybe we could contact those other versions of ourselves. We could get them to do tasks, like investigate that weird red and black timeline."

"And how do we do that exactly?"

She shrugged her shoulders. "I haven't a clue. All I know is we got them together before. You are the clever one."

"They only got together because something really strange happened in a nearby timeline." Jon knew it was impractical to mess up timelines to contact the others. "I'll have to think about this."

Before Jon started Karyn had a moment of inspiration. "Can't you track them with the DTH?"

"Not really. I can track the timelines from the dimension where some of us teamed up. Unfortunately I've no idea who is who or where they went afterwards. It would be little more than guesswork."

Karyn sat on the edge of the bed so she wouldn't disturb Sage Jon. "Well so much for my great idea."

"I don't think what your proposing is a bad idea. I told you as much. I think the only way to do it is with a wish but I'd rather not if we didn't have to."

"Yeah I know every wish messes up reality even more," she paused thinking for a moment, "but surely if we used the stone to make a device, there would be only one wish. That would limit the damage."

Jon considered it. "If it makes other versions of us more efficient then the wish might be justified." Jon picked up a pad and began writing.

Ten minutes later after a carefully considered and written wish, Jon now had a new phone. A phone capable of contacting other versions of himself.

"It just looks like an old phone." Karyn said while examining the old style flip phone in her hand. She handed it back to Jon.

"Let's see how it works." He opened it and turned it on. Karyn watched from the side. On the screen appeared a generic looking blue phone screen. Text appeared on the screen "CONNECTED TO - DTH NETWORK"

"Can it connect to other networks?" She asked.

"Good Question. Maybe we'll find out some day." He called up the menu. There was very few icons compared to most phones. He accessed the contacts. They appeared in alphabetical order."

Karyn started reading the list. "Clean Shirt Jon, Clueless Jon, Lazy Jon, Own phone...," she turned to Jon, "there are some strange names, which one do we pick?"

"Well how about the first one on the list?"

Karyn thought for a moment. "Clean Shirt Jon? Isn't he the one that stole that money from ARD Jon and caused that fight between you and him?"

"I think that's him. He told us about each stone only working with people from it's own dimension."

"Do you think you can trust him?"

"He's still me."

"You wouldn't have stolen money from yourself," she stared at him, "would you?" Jon hesitated for a moment.

"Of course not," he started to have some self doubt, "but different timelines, different circumstances maybe he had a really good reason. I'll ask him when I call."

"Well I'll leave it up to you."

Jon pressed the call button and turned on the speaker.
