Jon looked around the room for a clock, what time was it he wondered. Looking around the room he finally noticed it wasn't his room anymore, it was her room. The room of the mare he now was. He let out a bit sigh as he looked around the room. All of his most prized items were either gone or changed in a way that made them more for a girl and equine friendly. How much had changed? His body was one thing, its what he asked for, but he didn't say anything about his room. He decided the easiest way to check the time would be to go back to the computer. Still struggling to walk and almost falling down a few times and looking like a complete fool as he tried to move each of his four legs. eventually he managed to get his new mare form over to the computer. Jon looked at the chair, he closed his eyes, how as he going to get into the chair it wasn't like being human where you could just walk up and sit down. Everything else in the room had changed so obviously she used this chair. He imagined other quadrupeds and how then got up on chairs, they jumped.
Ok here we go thought Jon, he had no idea how to do this, he guessed he would just lean back onto his hind legs and kick off hard. leaning back he put all of weight onto his hind legs and kicked off. Before he knew it had worked his feminine face had come smack into the back of the chair. The tip of his muzzle was dragged down the back of the chair as his mare body unceremoniously collapsed into the chair.
"oof, well, at least i'm in the chair" This was going to take practice this body wasn't what he was use to, heck he wasn't even a he anymore. But for now Jon still thought of himself as a he, and he hoped spending time as a she wouldn't change that. Using his forelegs he pushed himself up so that he was sitting on his haunches like a dog. He was completely facing the wrong direction. "Uh" he twisted around trying to find something to grab onto only resulting in the chair starting to spin. Fine he stood up in the spinning chair, carefully placed his hooves so that it caused him to turn around and then sat back down on his haunches. As the desk came back around he grabbed it stoping the rotation of the chair. "This is so hard" he glanced at his keyboard "but that might be even harder" The keyboard wasn't a keyboard at all but two dome shaped objects with letters around the outside. He recognized this, this was keyboard for people who had bad motor control with their fingers. "I guess that makes sense" he pulled his foreleg in front of his face moving what he still considered to be his wrist up and down. "ok this might take a while but I can do this" he reached for the mouse, but it was a design he had never seen. A flat surface that was larger than his hoof. He placed his hoof on it, it was made of some kind of none slip material, it was easy enough to use. Just like a mouse, it just was made to fit a hoof he thought. It didn't have any buttons though, he tilted his hoof forward, click, he tilted backwards, click. Ok but which is which? only one way to find out. He put a hoof on the dome keyboard and moved it randomly a few times. His computer had gone to sleep while he was on the floor. "Or maybe she hadn't even been on the computer" he said looking down at himself.
It took roughly 10 minutes for him to successfully type the password to the computer, but he was finally in. He was greeted with the same image that had been open when he decided to become a mare. He moved the mouse and got the pointer to the x. He tilted his hoof forward, click, and the window closed. The wallpaper is different was his first thought. What use to be his Call of Duty wallpaper was now what appeared to be a family photo. A sky blue pegasus mare with a orange and red mane was flanked by a yellow pegasus stallion with a jet black mane, they were both dressed in U.S Air Force Officers dress uniforms, and bellow them were two pegasus fillies, one pink with a very light blond mane, the other yellow with a pink mane. The two fillies had there forelegs around each other smiling from ear to ear. Jon looked at the photo for a moment before realizing that was him, he was she, he had no memory of it obviously but this happened in this reality, years ago but it had happened all the same. The other filly was his sister, and the two adults were his no scratch that her parents. The device had really changed things, those weren't his parents, his parents weren't in the military what had drove them to join the military? How different had he made things? Maybe he should reset everything he thought. But first he should contact Karyn that was the original reason from coming over here. The clock showed 5:00 PM. He opened the Messenger, the contact list depicted other ponies with names like Thunder Wing, and Singing Dawn. He had forgotten his name probably wasn't Jon anymore. He looked at the profile, appeared her name was Spring Breeze. "well thats weak". Scrolling through the list he found a picture of a mare with the name Autumn Breeze, his err her sister.
"Spring Breeze and Autumn Breeze, opposite seasons" and they had opposite hair and main colors too. Jon continued to scroll down Spring Breezes contacts, while he did find some humans in her contact list Karyn wasn't in there. Thats odd Jon thought. He typed her name in manually and it did find her, great she exists, I was worried there for a minute. He clicked on the message icon and sent her a new message. he wrote, 'Karyn, its about the stone I did something with it, and I think you might like it too". No response, Jon waited there for a few minutes waiting for a reply, the message changed to read. She was typing a response.
'Spring Breeze I don't know who you are or what stone your talking about'
'Please don't contact me again'
Jon felt his heart break, wait no, no that can't be right, him and Karyn had always been friends, they lived in the same town, how did she not even know who he was. Karyn never met Spring Breeze, Karyn never met him, Karyn had never met her. He needed to reset everything this was too much. Not to mention nothing in this wacky world he had accidentally created made sense. Jon looked at the ARD. He put his hoof on it, and slid open the reset hatch. All it would take is to press the button and everything would go back to normal, or maybe he should make Karyn a pony too, then they probably would have met. Jon was starting to realize this device was dangerous, not only did it change the present but it also changed history. What was he going to do?
