Lisa grew more and more frantic as they made their way down the street. Rick wanted to stop this, to make his daughter see reason, but he let her look for the black case anyway. If he made her stop looking for it, it might make things worse for her.
"This is the woman's house," Lisa said, when they finally got to the Williams residence. "I know I had it when I came here. So it must be around here somewhere," she said, looking around on the lawn, making sure she checked every inch of it.
Rick sighed and then looked around the neighborhood. And that's when he spotted his wife's car. What was Susanne's car doing here? It was parked right in front of the Williams house. Was his wife here?
He turned back towards the house and saw his daughter. She was still looking around the front yard for the black case containing the so-called Medallion of Zulo. Then, with determination, he walked up to the front door.
Lisa looked up. "Dad, what are you doing? I said that woman is crazy."
But he wasn't listening. Instead, he was knocking on the door and ringing the doorbell. A moment later, the door opened and he saw a pale teenage girl. Her face matched that of the girl that the police said died years ago. It couldn't be her, could it? Maybe it was her sister or something. As he looked at this girl, something seemed familiar about her. Then it dawned on him. She was wearing his wife's clothes.
"You're wearing my wife's clothes. Why?" he asked.
She smiled and said "Because I am your wife."
Lisa ran towards the house to stop what she figured would happen next, but she was too late. Before she even made it to the porch, she watched her father get yanked into the house and front door slam shut.
She banged on the door. "Dad?!"
