Suddenly, Zoe started to feel strange. She looked down at herself and was shocked to see that her clothes were changing right before her eyes! Her black dress ripped in two, then formed into a tight pink T-shirt and a white pleated micro-miniskirt. And then her boots changed into a pair of 4-inch pink heels. Those changes alone horrified her, but the changes weren't done. Her hair shortened a bit, then became blond and curly (the way her hair used to be before she dyed and straightened it), her skin tanned, and all her make-up became pink.
"What the fuck is happening to me?" Zoe asked aloud, looking down at her new look. She looked like she belonged to the popular crowd now, maybe even one of Sarah McMillan's best friends. She felt like throwing up. She hated Sarah.
What Zoe didn't realize (as of yet) was that the wish she had just made was actually granted, but not the way she meant it to. In this new reality, her mother spoiled her instead of restricting her. With all of this freedom to do as she pleased, her life had taken a drastically different path. In fact, her life most resembled that of Sarah McMillan's (except that her family wasn't rich like Sarah's), and that was probably the most disturbing thing of all.
