As the light became too bright to see and then faded, Jon came to.
It was as he feared. He had become a girl—a male girl, but one raised on estrogen.
Not only that had changed. His—or rather, her—hair was a long cascade of blonde, framing a softer face atop a shorter body. She was wearing a white knee-length skirt and panties; up top, a tight pink T-shirt left little to imagine of her C-cup breasts.
Jon looked at she ID, which still listed "Sex: M" but also "Gender: G". But she was surprised to see that her name on the ID was now Zoey Gibson, which had been Jon's little sister (though she spelled it Zoe).
Huh, that's interesting. She pulled out the stone. "I wish I knew why I had the name Zoey." Well, that's interesting. So the old Zoe's a female boy named Jon, and my little brother is now my little male sister Mikayla. And my parents are...each other? It looked like all his family were "opposites" to him. That can't be every—
"Zoey! Dinner's ready!" she heard a voice calling down from below, interrupting her train of thought. It sounded like her mom's, but apparently here it was her dad's. He'd have to wait to see how his friends and other people he knew had changed.
