Jon could only watch as the anonymous player selected his new class: Cleric. This was followed by a large textbox showcasing his new stats:

Divine Protection: When struck by a Darkness based attack, Clerics take 20% less damage.

Most of these stats meant nothing to Jon, but the player understood them perfectly. Clerics were obviously the games' healers. As the level up, they learn a wide variety of healing spells for a relatively low MP cost, making it very useful to have at least one in your party. As they become stronger, Clerics can also learn several status-based spells, empowering their allies while weakening their enemies. At the highest levels, they learn powerful Holy elemental magic, making them extremely powerful spellcasters. As a main character they are difficult to use, but as an ally they are invaluable.

The player chose confirm, and immediately Jon felt the "Equipment" appear on his body.

A small white hat appeared on his head, the front adorned with a symbol he didn't recognise. Probably the sign of whatever convent they belonged to or something... regardless, Jon's entire body was almost completely covered by a spotless white robe. The hem reached down to the ground while the sleeves covered his entire arm up to the wrist. Lifting up his robe, Jon saw his feet were now adorned by a pair of white women's anle boots with an inch-high heel. Finally, a golden pendant embossed by the same symbol on his hat appeared around his neck, as a white staff with that same symbol at the top materialised in his hand. There would be no mistaking Jon for anything but a healer now.

[Good luck on your adventure, brave Heroine]

Jon barely had time to read this final text box, before he was immediately transported to the starting town.
