Kelli heard the front door softly close from his bedroom. He had been so engrossed in deciding what to wear that morning that he'd completely missed any indication that Jon would be leaving. He'd been hoping that he could tag along that day with his new roommate. Sure Jon was leading a very different lifestyle than Kelli (Jon was, after all, a crossdresser), but Kelli didn't mind. Besides, Jon was cool. Just as Kelli had seen in the bar the night before, anything Jon put his hands to turned to gold, and Kelli wouldn't mind being part of that.

"Jon!" Kelli yelled out, barely dressed in a pair of stockings, garter belt, panties, and a bra, "Wait up!"

Frantically slipping on his stiletto heels, he scrambled toward the door of his room, hoping to catch Jon. Kelli didn't mind that he was barely dressed. He pictured himself as a young Tom Cruise in that Risky Business scene. Similar clothes, similar level of machismo. Any woman he ran into while dressed as he was would go nuts.

Kelli grasped his bedroom doorknob and attempted to turn it, only to find that the handle came off in his hand. He attempted to slip it back into the door, only to have the mechanism inside fall apart! Kelli was stuck in his room!

Not wanting to panic, realizing how very alone he was in the apartment, Kelli backed away from the door and sat on his bed to think. The soft, cool touch of his bedspread was distracting on his nearly naked rear-end, an ongoing issue since his treatment with the sensitivity cream when he had first arrived at Girl World.

The first thing he needed to do, both to prevent more sensitivity distraction, and to get rescued, was finish getting dressed. That was easy. His room was full of clothes that fit him. He pulled a black-and-white checkered dress from the closet, noting the low-cut neckline to show-off his pecs, the lack of sleeves to show off his biceps, and the black belt around the waist, to show off how fit he was. It was the perfect outfit for a swinging young man looking for love.

Not that his mind was on love. Far from it. As Kelli tied the straps behind his neck, he took in his situation. Locked in his room for who knows how long. Jon might take days to return to the apartment; Considering how able he is, Jon could end up having adventures all over the island, only returning when he's bored! That could strand Kelli for far too long, ruining his vacation!

That just won't do, Kelli thought, pouting his bottom lip and stomping his left, heeled, foot.

That's when he saw the phone. It was a land-line, an old analogue, rotary dial phone, next to the bed. How had he missed that? Such an anachronism should have jumped out at Kelli, but for some reason it hadn't until just then. He clicked across the floor and picked up the receiver. Sure enough, a dial tone met his ear. Remembering how these phones used to work, he stuck his finger into the "0" hole and spun the dial clock-wise until it would spin no longer, then let it go.

"Operator," came the young male voice on the other line in a distracted tone, "How can I be of assistance?"

"I'm trapped in my bedroom," Kelli whined, "and I need help."

There was the sound of typing for a moment as the operator took notes about what was happening, then, "Okay Kelli, I'll send a worker right away."

Kelli never thought to wonder how they knew his name, nor how they knew where he lived. He was just happy that someone was coming to rescue him.

Then he looked at the state of his bedroom. It was atrocious. How had he allowed his living space to become so messy so quickly? Sure, he was embarrassed to have to be rescued from his bedroom, but he would be far more embarrassed if his rescuer, his knight in shining armour, saw the state of this room.

Taking a cue from Jon's attire that morning, Kelli grabbed a white apron from his closet (that thing had everything!), slipped it over his head and tied it behind his back, then got to work cleaning. First he made the bed, making sure that each layer of sheets and blankets was perfectly smooth. He fluffed each pillow before putting it back in its perfect spot, then stood back and admired his work. Not bad, but not done.

He flitted over to small pile of laundry on the floor and picked up the babydoll he'd slept in, dropping it into the laundry hamper. Then he slipped into his closet and arranged every outfit by colour and style, just in case his rescuer took a peek inside.

He fussed over the state of his room for a few minutes, then, satisfied over its state, he sat down on the corner of his bed, crossed his legs, placed his hands in his lap and waited for his hero to arrive.
