Steve scowled as he entered the study. He'd spent the last fifteen years in marketing and public relations, working his way up to a plum management position at a family owned firm called the Strickland group. Steve was the only manager in the company without the last name Strickland, which turned out to be a huge problem. As the economy tanked, clients cut their advertising budgets. It didn't matter how creative Steve and his team were, business after business dropped their ads. Finally, Steve and his entire team were let go, as Edward Strickland tried to protect his children's jobs.

As he sat down to log onto the computer, Steve felt the black jewelry box in his back pocket. The medallion had slipped his mind as he brooded over his argument with Leah. Slipping his hand into his pocket, he pulled the box free, the felt gliding over his fingertips. Glancing around, he flipped the case open and noticed a small piece of paper nestled in the lid of the case.

"To whom it may concern. If you are reading this note you are no doubt the new owner of the Medallion of Zulo. Take heed, that while it may look like no more the cheap jewelry,it is the greatest thing you could have ever found. For this Medallion is magic."

Steve blinked incredulously. 'This has to be a joke,' he thought as her read on.

"Using the Medallion is simple. Just put it on and touch a piece of clothing to it. The Medallion's magic will transform your body into an exact copy of the person who last wore the clothing,as they were when they last wore it. If you touch a piece of clothing to it that has never been worn, you will change into a version of yourself that is appropriate for the clothing. Finally if you touch the Medallion to another person, both you and they will change into each other."

The seed of an idea began to form in Steve's mind as he finished reading the note.

"But there are things you must be careful of when using the medallion. First, there is a time limit. Once a person has been changed by the medallion, they cannot change again for twelve hours. Second, if the Medallion is taken off during the transformation, then the transformation will stop where it is. Usually you can finish transforming just by putting the Medallion back on. But if you wait too long, roughly ten minutes after taking it off, then you will not be able to change until the time limit has passed. Finally, there is the matter of changes to the mind. Normally this is nothing more than small things. Knowing how to walk or get dressed, just little things to make it easier to function in the new body. But there is a chance, regardless of how small, that larger changes might be made."

Steve narrowed his eyes. This definitely had possibilities, if it wasn't a stupid joke. The question was, how should he test it?

Note: For continuity's sake I've used the same text for the Medallion's note that was previously used in the "Nick" storyline.
