While DTH Jon was exploring the secret facility, time was passing for Karyn in ARD Jon's bedroom.
She sat on his computer chair keenly watching the space DTH Jon had disappeared from. ARD Jon sat on the bed counting piles of money.
"I think he's supposed to come back instantly" she told him, "I don't like this."
ARD Jon shrugged his shoulders. "Time passes for me with the ARD, I'm not sure how that works."
"I'm usually travelling with the DTH so I don't really know what it looks like from the outside." Karyn decided to reason it out. She spoke out loud although ARD Jon didn't seem too interested. "The DTH takes you back to the exact moment you left. Unless the time line diverges, I think. So that means the timeline has diverged but he's not in our timeline, so it shouldn't matter."
"Well I hate to say this Karyn...."
"He's not dead!"
ARD Jon looked shocked. "Wooah! I wasn't going to say that. I was going to say maybe he's doing something else and he's kind of forgot about you."
"Oh," she looked down sheepishly,"he can be inconsiderate at times but I don't think he'd forget about me. No even if he was busy elsewhere he could still come back to the moment he left, unless..."
"Unless what?"
"He is back in this dimension but not here, in the house I mean."
"Hi Karyn.." DTH Jon said.
"What's happened? Why did you have to come back to this timeline before coming back to me?"
"I'm sorry I was so long I had to... ...wait how did you know that happened?"
"Please credit me with some intelligence Jon."
"I'm actually really impressed."
Karyn smiled. "And why did you need to change clothes?"
"One thing at a time please Karyn. My counterpart and I were kidnapped."
"Kidnapped? By who?"
ARD Jon put down his money and started paying attention to DTH Jon.
"I don't know yet. I managed to used the DTH to escape to this timeline so I could rescue the other Jon. I didn't know where we were, so I had to use a nearby timeline. That way I had a better chance of appearing in the same building."
"So you picked this one?"
"Yep, anyway we escaped and I came back to get you."
She turned to ARD Jon.
"See I told you."
"Well at least I didn't assume he died."
"I did not." Karyn protested.
DTH Jon ignored the conversation and started programming the DTH. "Anyway we need to get back to him. He's been drugged."
He put out his hand which Karyn quickly grabbed.
"Bye..." Karyn said to ARD Jon, "...again."
As DTH Jon and Karyn vanished, ARD Jon went back to counting his money.
