Jon finished his meal just as the bell rang telling the students to go to class. Jon saw the other students filing out into the hallway, but there was a strange mist in the doorways, but everyone else seemed to ignore it so he continued through the hazy fog.
On the other side, Jon found he had transformed again, this time into a tiny little girl, with short blond hair wearing a yellow T-shirt with a pony on it and jeans with embroidered flowers. and he was carrying a Dora the Explorer backpack.
the people around him came out changed a group of chatting girl's seemed to become some big jocks, and not care, a dating couple seemed to become twin girls and were still kissing, and this girl on her own became a young boy
He was of course shocked but, not as much as expected he had already grown long hair and worn a woman's bathing suit for the last hour.
he found on the ground one of the pamphlets from before. he read it more thoroughly this time and found out that his change was due to the food he picked. It said
"Welcome to the New choose your own curriculum cafeteria, by using the User's food choices, we can determine a suiting form and class schedule."
he found what made him into this little girl.

corn chose ages above of below 6th grade, 4 baby corn meant 2nd grade
mashed potatoes determined his size, he had less than average and wound up a tiny little girl
He also found that he would stay in this form until lunch tomorrow
no wonder he looked like a kindergartner he was a tiny 2nd grader.
apparently students would become kids for a day to blow off some stress and take classes about sharing, and simple math, and they got recess, others would change their form for exercise or fun or eperimentation, and some just liked to switch sexes.
in his backpack he found a schedule telling him where to go next it said
