Kurt Hammer opened his new eyes. He'd done it! He'd escaped the cops, even the one who figured out that he was switching bodies.

This was the body of Sarah DeVries, Paul Jackson's girlfriend. From this body's definitive lack of a penis, Hammer had to acknowledge the fact that he was now a she.
Hammer's plan had worked surprisingly well. Hammer had originally planned to take Jackson's body, and had been scoping out Jackson's life on and off for the past few weeks. Only when Hammer found that the cops were on to him did he have to improvise. He'd taken Sarah DeVries' body just before she entered the house for a visit. After using the Medallion to switch places, he--she--had called the police station with a tip. The police had arrived in time to shoot her old body as it apparently threatened her with a gun.
Rising from the guest bed, Hammer oggled herself in the mirror and smiled again. This body was different, but it had potential. These new curves combined with the money she'd stolen and hidden could be a powerful combination.
