Jon couldn't decide what to clone first, so he decided to wait until the next day to see if Karyn had any ideas. While Jon was at school, his mother, Susan, came into his room to get his laundry. As usual, it wasn't in the hamper, like she'd asked. As she picked up Jon's laundry, she wished she had someone to help with chores around the house. She loved being a housewife and the extra time it gave her with her children, and her husband made enough money that it was practical, but having someone to help out would be nice. It would also be nice to have someone to talk to while she was home or running errands. She couldn't spend as much time with her friends as she wanted, as most of them worked, and she got lonely sometimes.
Susan came to her son's cloning machine. As per Jon's wish, she didn't find it unusual that her son had one. Why would Dad leave Jon a cloning machine? she wondered. He didn't leave anything like that to the rest of the family, but he was pretty eccentric and Jon was one of his favorite grandchildren. They were so much alike. She looked at the cloning machine thoughtfully. I know Jon said that I could make clones for myself, but I wonder if he would mind if I used it while he was at school? It seemed pretty simple when he explained it to me and said I could use it whenever I wanted. Susan decided to use the machine anyways. After all, she did have permission and Jon had told the computer to obey her commands. She decided to make a clone who could help her around the house and spend quality girl time with her. "Computer," she said, tentatively.
"Computer online," said the computer in a soft, feminine voice.
"I'd like to make a clone," said Susan, "with the following characteristics..."
