There was a knock on the door. "Hey, Jon. Its me." It was Karyn. "Your mom said you were up here working with your cloning device. I wanted to see how it worked."
Jon let Karyn in, then had an idea. If Karyn wanted to see how the cloning machine worked, maybe she would like to make a clone. Jon asked her.
"Of course, I would," said Karyn. "I mean, if its all right with you. I know that you just got it and I'm sure you're looking forward to making a few clones, yourself. Man, its so cool that you have one of these." Karyn, as per his wish, didn't question why he had a cloning machine.
"Of course, it's OK if you make a clone," said Jon. "You're my friend. Besides, I can use it anytime I want and this would give us the chance to test it out." Jon explained how to use it and what kinds of attributes she could give her clones.
"Cool," said Karyn. "All right. I think that I know what I would like to do..."
