The days progressed and soon the end of summer approached--and the beginning of college. The long goodbye and the experience of having to leave would have been unusual enough by itself.
But it was doubly so under the circumstances.
The two girls--Jon, a girl for now, and his clone, a girl (period), were busy stuffing things into boxes for the move. There were clothes, a computer, TV, and a few other things... and of course the cloning machine, which had been slid about a foot away from the wall. Jonnie examined one side. "I don't see a latch or anything..." she said.
Jon, in an identical position on the opposite side replied "Same here. We could use the stone...."
"Never mind," said Jonnie. "I think I found something." She pushed on a latch and one of the panels on the chamber came loose.
Soon the two of them were taking the device apart. The chamber was separate, as well as a few cords and tubes, but there was still one big chunk the size of a washing machine.
"I think we're going to have to lift this," said Jon. She and Jonnie each held it by a side and they managed to tilt it and lift it enough that they could put it on a cart to be wheeled over to the door.
"Hold it," said Jonnie, once the device was safely down. "Guys are stronger. You need to become a guy again. We were going to do it now anyway. She picked up the stone, which had been carefully left aside, and said "I wish to reverse the wishes that made us both girls and then lesbians."
In an instant, it was done. Jon was suddenly a guy again, and what little of the clothes and other objects that had not been packed showed that the room now belonged to a teenage guy. Well, belonged to a teenage guy and a girl who was basically a teenage guy. Jonnie also leaned against a wall, suddenly pregnant again and at almost five months in size now that reality had changed back.
"I'm glad you're back," said Jonnie.
"Me too," said Jon. "When we were lesbians it felt right, but now being myself again feels right too. It's like a change in attitude. By the way, I'm not going to be carrying all the boxes just because you're pregnant."
"So fix it," replied Jonnie. "I knew that I would be a girl, but there's no reason I have to carry a baby like one."
"I already fixed it. I wished that the baby wouldn't have any inbreeding problems."
"Not fix the baby, fix me."
"It's your day to use the stone."
"Yeah. You know, I bet Mom would have told us to take pregnancy more seriously. I bet she did tell us in this reality. Anyway, I wish....
