Jon(nie), the original, sat at her desk in her room, staring at her calendar. Covering recent dates were several green marks which looked like days being crossed off, but which really meant that Jon and Jonnie had used the stone to make themselves into straight girls on those days.

"I'm tired of it," she said.

Her clone, standing nearby, replied "Hmm, of which part?"

"I'm tired of all this not fitting in where history says I was a girl all along, so I'm straight, but we have to make a wish just so we can act that way."

"Well," said Jonnie, "that's the way the stone works. If you hear the wish you keep your own memories. I suppose that sexual orientation isn't really memories but it's close enough to work the same way. So the world thinks we're straight girls, but we're just girls who are like whatever we were like as guys." As Jon #1 was about to say something, she added "And don't tell me I'm not a guy. Breasts or no breasts."

"Right," said Jonnie #1, "but there's no reason it has to be that way. We can make it so that everyone thinks we're girls but everyone also thinks we're lesbians. Got any objections?"

"Oh, go ahead," she replied, grinning. "I've been getting pretty tired of it too."

"Okay... here goes." She picked up the stone and made her wish. "I wish that Jonnie and I are lesbians, and that that wish can be reversed."

The changes were relatively small, though the calendar no longer had any green marks on it. Both Jonnies did have shorter hair, and no lipstick, but there was still a tube of it on the desk and there were still dresses in the closet. There were no more posters of boy bands, boy popstars, or anything resembling a cute guy on the wall.

"Now what?" asked the clone.

"I don't know," replied the former Jon. "There's nothing new for us. We've already experimented with being girls for a while now. Everything's the same for us. The only thing that changed is how other people see us. And there aren't any other people here."

"Karyn's coming over to study with us," said Jonnie. "I'm sure some difference will turn up then."
