There were so many things Jon could do with this machine. He could create... anything, anyone. He ran through several fantasies in his mind. He could... No, he couldn't. Did he really want to make a person, a human being, use her for sex, and then erase her from existence? Or drastically alter her personality so that she wasn't herself any more? Either version would be like killing her. No, it would be killing her.

It was always possible for the owner of the stone to be so evil, so disconnected from reality, that he thought nothing of erasing a person. But this wasn't one of those possibilities. Jon realized that whatever he created, he'd have to live with. Oh, he could magically teleport them somewhere within the range of the stone so he didn't have to literally live with them in his house, but basically, whoever he created would be permanent.

Having sex with one's own clone was an old sci-fi idea (at least for guys), and among all the fantasies Jon had, he thought that he might be able to live with that. At least his new partner would be someone who he has something in common with.

"Machine," said Jon. "Can you hear me?"

"Affirmative," it said.

"Here's what I want you to do. Make a clone of me who has all of my memories and personality and is just like me. Except she's female, her name is Jonnie, she finds me attractive, and she wants to have sex with me." Wait... if the clone had Jon's mind, she'd think of herself as a boy stuck in a girl's body, right? She might not like that. "Oh," added Jon, "and she's not upset that I made her a girl."

Once Jon stopped talking, the machine said "Current qualities of clone determined." He saw a panel on the machine that displayed the description he just gave, and next to it was a button.

He pressed the button. A message box appeared saying "Accepted", and a light shone on the cylinder. In there was a small speck, which grew larger. First it became a fetus, and as the seconds passed it developed into an infant. It took under a minute, and the clone was already the age when it could have been born.

The clone continued to age as Jon watched, giving him time to think. Did he leave anything out? It was too late to tell the machine anything else, but he could always use the stone to change things.

Suddenly it occurred to him that he did. The clone might not be upset at being female, but there was a big gap between not being upset over something, and not wanting to change it at all. If the clone tried to become a guy and succeeded, he'd have a male clone of himself who wanted sex with him. This wasn't good. "I wish that this clone could never be or become physically male."

Then Jon wondered about how the clone would fit in. Would she be considered his sister? Jon really didn't think of it as incest. On one hand, the clone would look similar and have his memories. She'd remember the same parents, Zoe, etc. On the other hand, he certainly hadn't lived with the clone since he was a child... he and the clone would share childhood memories, but not like a brother and sister would. Neither one would remember two people in those memories. The clone certainly wasn't born from his mother; in fact, the clone wouldn't be born at all.

It was hard to figure out, because brothers and sisters had existed as long as the human race had, but clones were something he wished up. Nobody had decided what kind of relative a clone is. In the end Jon figured that if the human race hadn't decided it yet, he would decide it for them. He and the clone may be as close as family, they may be the same person at times (wouldn't everything that happened to Jon before the cloning have happened to "us"?), but they weren't siblings.

Jon started to get aroused staring at the naked breasts of the clone in the tube. She was almost finished. Was there anything else he needed? There had to be something. Money? It would cost his parents money to have a clone living here. He didn't think it would be enough to matter, considering that his grandfather had also left an inheritance, and he could always wish away any money problems. Records? Getting his parents arrested for tax fraud because the IRS is out of the range of the wish and doesn't believe in clones wouldn't be good. He'd have to think of a way around that later....

Jon's thoughts were interrupted by a beeping sound from the machine. He took his eyes off the clone's breasts and looked at the panel. It seemed it wasn't quite finished--a message came up saying "Searching for source of memories... Found." Then Jon felt dizzy for a second as his memories were downloaded, the program finished, and the liquid began to drain.

Jon had never seen a funhouse mirror, but he thought that looking at the clone was like looking at one. In the tube was a copy of himself who was absolutely perfect in some ways, but very different in others.

Her hair was the same color and length as Jon's own; it was almost too short to even float, but as the liquid drained, it left behind wet hair plastered to her head, like himself coming out of a shower. Her eyes were closed, but her face was nearly identical to his. The feminine features made it look like a slightly younger version of his own, free of stubble on the chin.

The clone's breasts were probably about a B-cup, if Jon guessed right; of course, like anyone his age, she probably had a bit more growing left. The clone's body was shaped like a girl's, yet everything else was the same as him. Jon's watch prevented the skin under it from being tanned by the sun, leaving a lighter band around his arm; the clone had the exact same band, resized for a slightly smaller arm. Every mark on the clone's body matched one on Jon, and she even had a mosquito bite that Jon had. Yet she had a girl's shoulders, and breasts, and hips, and feet, and a pussy between her legs--legs that were slimmer at the bottom than his own and less hairier, but which otherwise matched his freckle for freckle.

The last inch of liquid drained and the tube opened. The liquid didn't smell and must have been water, maybe with a little salt or chlorine. The clone's eyes fluttered open and she coughed out water. She was no longer just a mirror image, she was a person too. A naked, female mirror image of himself, who wanted sex with him as much as he did with her.

"Jonnie?" said Jon to the clone.
