Jon carefully avoided being touched the rest of the day, until he saw his opportunity. During lunch, the jocks would always hang out in a certain spot. All he had to do was walk by and bump into two of them. The problem was, he wasn't paying attention to where he was going, only where he wanted to be: next to Biff. He bumped into Sarah instead of her uberjock boyfriend while someone else brushed against his back. Jon looked behind him and glimpsed Patricia Kim, the older sister of his sister's classmate Pamela. "Uh oh ..." Jon's voice became higher pitched with each syllable.
Jon ran to a bathroom as quickly as he could, ducking into the boys' room and looking in a mirror. A gorgeous face stared back at him. He took off his glasses ... glasses? ... to see that his eyes were blue like Sarah's and shaped like Patricia's. He examined himself and made a mental checklist:
SARAH:
Long blonde hair
Blue eyes
Pink complexion
Narrow nose
Thin lips
Curvy, busty figure
PATRICIA:
Straight hair
Glasses
Eye shape
Flat nose
Minimal body hair
Clothes (no designer brands)
Height (shorter than Sarah or the old me)

Jon could see a boy coming in. He ... she gasped ... and hid in a stall, waiting until she heard the boy leave. She sighed with relief and left the bathroom as quickly as she could. Fortunately, no one noticed her coming out of the wrong door in the crowded hallway. Kids were more interested in each other than in keeping an eye on who went in and out of the bathroom.
Jon couldn't go to class looking like this. What had she been thinking!? At least no one was staring at her. Why should they? She looked like a normal girl, not a freak. Yes, her face's blend of Asian and Caucasian features was a bit odd, but hard to notice if one was passing by her on the way to class. What am I going to do now? wondered Jon ... if that was her name. It couldn't be. She could have looked at her belongings to see what her new name was, but she didn't want to know yet. She wanted to hang on to a part of her old self just a little longer ... at least until she got home ... assuming her home was still hers. She still kind of looked like Jon, so she kept her hopes up during the walk back to her house.
Luckily, her key still worked in the lock, though that didn't really prove anything. She opened the door and saw ...
