Normally, Jon’s mom liked to do a last minute dusting before she turned into bed. But after seeing how tired his mom looked when Jon had found her on the sofa, Jon had decided to send her to bed.
And that was how Zoe had found him, doing a light dust of the living room when she came down intending to pour herself a cup of tea.
Again, Zoe didn’t usually drink tea but for some reason, she felt like she needed a cup and wondered if her brother would like one as well. Zoe leaned against the wall of the living room and watched for a moment with a smile creeping up her lips. He actually looked pretty professional, despite the fact that he had never done this before.
Moments passed before Zoe decided to break the silence with a little cough, announcing her presence. Jon, engrossed in the dusting, gave a little jump as he was slightly startled by the noise. Zoe chuckled.
“Sorry, Bro. I was thinking of making a cup of tea before bed, fancy one?”
Jon paused for a moment, pondering the question. It did seem a little odd for Zoe to be drinking tea but at the same time, it also felt like that he needed one. He nodded.
“Sure, Zoe. I’m just going to check on Mom for a moment. I’m a little worried about her. She never passes out in front of the tv."
