Jon figured that if he had a whole day to live as his mother he'd better get started. Play along perfectly the note had said; he wondered how far he would have to take it. He glared at the spreadsheet on the screen before him. It seemed to be some sort of expense report. He sighed and began decifering the numbers, trying to pick up where his mother had let off.
There was a knock at the door. Without thinking he, in his mother's voice (how strange was that?) told the whoever it was to come in.
He looked up and saw a ruggedly handsome middle aged man. Jon recognized him as his mother's boss; they had met him at last year's company picnic. His name was Bill something-or-other he thought. It had just been in passing, so he never really paid attention.
"Linda," Bill said in his deep voice, closing and locking the door behind him, "do you have a minute?"
Jon pushed his mother's chair back from the desk. "Of course, what's up?" He realized when he said it that it probably was too casual for his mother, but it worked. Close enough, he thought.
"I only have a minute, too," Bill walked around the desk, "but I just had to see you." He pulled Jon up onto his heeled feet and pulled him into a deep kiss.
"WHAT?!" Jon sputtered as he pushed back from Bill.
The world seemed to shimmer, and Jon found himself, back in his own body, standing in the living room, holding the piece of paper.
Your task is to spend a day in a form of someone you know and play along perfectly. If you fail you will be teleported back to this moment and Start Over.
Jon felt a tingling in his body, and the room shimmered around him.
After it ended he checked out his surroundings and himself, he recognized himself as...
He was no longer in his house. To him that was a minor detail, though, as he was also no longer himself. He was his mother.
"Oh boy."
