Mrs. Gibson gasped. There stood Joan, completely female again. The teenage girl inspected herself before cheering, "I'm back! I'm me again!"
The woman frowned slightly. What had happened? She had half-expected to find that Joan was really her son to begin with. Had she been mistaken?
At this point, a ten year old boy came running in. "Mommy, what's wrong? You were shouting."
Looking down at the boy, Mrs. Gibson realized that this was her son, Mikey. Slowly, she breathed a sigh of relief. Things had gone back to normal after all. Quickly, she drew her only son into a hug. "It was nothing, dear. Everything's fine now."
Unknown to anyone present, as specified in Mrs. Gibson's wish, she had gone back to having one son when she reversed things. Since Mikey had been that one son when she had made her wish, the stone had selected him. Jon no longer existed in anyone's memories. They only remembered Joan, the eldest daughter in the Gibson family.
