"Hello, Jon?" said Karyn's voice from outside the door. "It's locked."
Jon quickly got up, let go of "Jenna", pulled on his pants, threw back the blanket, and went to open the door. "Karyn.... uh, I forgot you were coming over now. Give me a minute, okay?"
"A minute?" she said. "Jon, what are you doing? Your pants aren't zipped. You've obviously been naked and the room smells of....
"Hi, Karyn!" said Jenna, getting out of bed and quickly going for her own clothes.
"Eek," said Karyn. "There's a girl in your bed. Don't tell me you and her were..."
"Having sex?" finished Jon. "We were, but we had finished before you came in. But it's not what it seems."
It was hard, of course, for Karyn to have a real excuse for jealousy since she hadn't been dating Jon, but it did upset her somewhat, and besides, she didn't like the idea of Jon being with a girl she hadn't even met. "It's not what it seems like? Go ahead and explain, then."
But Jon didn't explain. The girl did. "Karyn," she said. "It's like this. I was thinking over what wishes to make."
"I don't mean you," said Karyn. "I mean him."
"Let Jenna explain," said Jon.
"Jenna...?" replied Karyn.
"Yeah!" said Jenna. "I was thinking over what wishes to make. A lot of people will think of using it for sex, sooner or later, but I knew that it wouldn't be right to use magic. I'd be forcing someone!"
"You? The stone is yours? Wait a minute... no wonder you look so familiar. You're Jon, as a girl, with blonde hair!"
"I am!" said Jenna. "So anyway, I decided that I couldn't use magic to force someone else. But I could use it on myself. I could be two people, a guy and a girl, and the guy could control the girl. Since I willingly put myself in that situation, there's no forcing, not really."
"Let me demonstrate," said Jon. He concentrated, and Jenna's hair turned brown again, just like his own.
"You mean," said Karyn, "that you're both the same person, but one of you has to have sex without liking it?"
"No, that's not true at all! I like being a girl and I like pleasing my other self...."
