The stone flashed, telling Jon that his wish had been granted. As it was almost time for dinner, Jon would have an opportunity to see how his family had changed.
When he got to the kitchen, he saw two women making dinner: his mother and Sarah McMillan's! The cheerleading bitch was now his half sister! And he not only had to go to school with her, but he also had to LIVE with her. How could this get any worse? Jon supposed that he could modify the wish to give him some other woman as his second mother, but who would he choose? It just felt wrong to do someone he knew, like Karyn or one of his other friends.
Before he could decide, his dad came into the kitchen. His dad kissed both of his wives, asking, "How are my two favorite girls doing?"
"Just fine, honey," said Sarah's mom, snuggling up to her husband. She seemed nicer than Sarah was, but Jon didn't know what she was like in the original reality or how this new Sarah would act in the new reality. Just then, the rest of his newly expanded family came into the kitchen.
