Jon walked past his younger sister, Zoe's, room. He heard her talking on her cell phone. "I mean, seriously, Becky," said Zoe. "He gives me orders like he's my boyfriend or something. What gives him the right? Just because I obey my boyfriend like any decent girl would doesn't mean I have to obey all guys."
Decent girl? thought Jon. Since when has Zoe ever worried about being a decent ** girl? *Zoe was into the Goth movement and had always been pretty independant. But then, the wish said that she would be obedient only to her boyfriend, not to other guys.
"I like obeying my boyfriend just as much as you do, Becky," continued Zoe, not noticing that Jon was listening in. "It makes me happy and all tingly between my legs. But for other guys to assume that makes me a slut that they can just order around at will? I hate it, it makes me feel like a piece of meat. Would they like it if other guys propositioned* their_ girls like that?" Just then Zoe looked up. Seeing Jon, she threw a pillow at him and said, "How many times do I have to tell you? My phone calls are private. You're not my boyfriend to listen in like that." Jon hustled down the hallway as Zoe closed her door.
