"Well, I used the stone and ..."
"You used my stone without asking?" Karyn said. She looked upset.
"Well, hold on. Let me finish."
"Okay," Karyn answered.
"I used it to switch lives with you. I didn't mean to. It was an accident."
"So, you're actually a girl and I'm in your body?"
"No. I'm still me, but I'm living your life. I'm supposed to live here. This is my bedroom. But in this new reality, I live at your house, or at least what used to be your house. I'm sorry, Karyn. It was an accident."
Karyn didn't see anything to be sorry about. As far as she was concerned everything was normal. She was supposed to live in that house, with her sister Zoe, little brother Mikey, and her mother. But she knew what the stone could do and she wasn't too surprised by Jon's story.
"I don't think I can change things back to normal," Jon said. "I could be stuck in this new reality for the rest of my life."
"Don't worry, Jon. We'll figure something out. Anyways, you should be so worried. You have a great family and life."
Jon wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. It wasn't really his life.
