It was a very windy morning that Monday morning as the two siblings walked towards the bus stop and Tom was feeling every gust of wind during that short work. The thin shirt (blouse) he was wear was doing nothing to keep he warm. Yes, he was also wearing his sister school jumper and blazer but still he felt the cold. It took him a few seconds to realize where the warmth he was so desperately looking for was going.
It was going out of the uniform skirt and tights that he was wearing. He looked over at his sister who appeared to be enjoying what was happening to her brother that morning. It was at that moment he made up his mind not to tell her that he was cold. If he did, she would take it as a sign that he had been wrong and that she did not have it easy. In his mind it would admitting that she had been right and if he did that, he would never hear the end of it.
Susan stole a glance at her brother trying so hard not to shiver for the cold of the morning. She knew exactly how he would be feeling that morning as she had been through a number of them herself wearing the same uniform that he was now wearing. Even though they fought a lot as all brothers and sisters did, she still did not want to see her suffer too much.
She could only think of how ridiculous he looked in her uniform. She had been surprised it fit he, yes, he was younger than her, but she did not think they were that close in size. She was not sure if that a good thing or a bad thing that she was as big as her brother or was he as small as her. She was not sure.
