The rock glowed and Jon knew his wish had worked. He put the stone back and peeked downstairs to find Karyn with three new players. They were Sarah McMillan, Karyn's mother, Sharon, and Sarah's mother, Janet McMillan. He was a bit lost as to why all the players but him seemed to be female, until it occurred to him that he wasn't gay and that the other players would have to be female for this to excite him.
He also realized that they were now at Karyn's house, rather than his. The new players were all seated around a large table, the board game spread out in the middle. He noticed with amusement that Karyn and Sarah were sitting as far away from eachother as the table would allow.
Jon figured that the change of setting to Karyn's place was the stone's way of explaining how Sarah and Karyn (Who he thought were easily the most attractive girls in school, Sarah for her looks, Karyn for her personality) were going to peacably sit in the same room and play a game together. He knew that Karyn's mother and Sarah's mother were friends, even though their daughters loathed eachother. This could be an attempt for some inter-family bonding.
Shrugging, he walked back downstairs into Karyn's living room and took the empty seat beside Karyn.
"Ok. Now that we're all here, I picked up this game at an antique shop and thought it might make for a fun game night. The store owner even claimed it's magic." Sharon explained as Karyn and Sarah simultaneously rolled their eyes.
Jon waited eagerly as Karyn's mother unfolded the rule book. He couldn't wait to see what happened.
