Karyn rolled the die again.
"Look," said Mickey (whose name is spelled that in this thread), "the DICE has 6 on it!"
Karyn felt a rush of pleasure. "Oooh... Mickey, don't do that. You know that that's a die! The word you used, D-I-C-E, is the plural and there's only one of them, so please stop saying it! You should just be saying 'die', which doesn't do anything to me."
Mickey nodded. Or did he pretend to nod?
Karyn moved the six spaces and drew a card, which she turned face up. "Age 16 years." Now that was a bad one, but she hoped she cou ld get another card later that reversed it. If not, Jon would have to reverse it using the stone. The game changes were permanent, but that couldn't mean the stone couldn't affect them, since Jon hadn't directly wished for them.
Of course, that meant she or Jon had to get the stone by the end of the game, and that wasn't certain at all.
And then she realized there was more trouble. Not only could she feel her body aging, her pregnancy was advancing. A brief instant of pain, and on her lap was a baby... and then after almost no time, not only was Karyn her mother's age, but the baby was a girl, who seemed to be around age 16...
