As the game headed into round two, things looked kind of like this.
Karyn's piece was leading the way at 7. Sarah was in second at 6 and Jon was tied with his mother in the middle with 5. Mikey and Zoe were trailing at 3 and 2 respectively.
Meanwhile, poor Karyn had just been forced to reveal herself as a transvestite. He ran crying to Jon's room. Jon, who was trapped in his sister's body, ran to his aid. Sarah, who at first thought it would be hilarious, was suddenly realizing that male Karyn was actually a very striking and sensitive man... strangely desirable. Zoe, in the body of bigger brother Jon was more than a little annoyed with the "Sin" card he had drawn, as it was forcing Jon's body to maintain a very persistent erection, and Sarah was starting to look awfully good. Mrs. Gibson, though relieved that the person who had kissed her so passionately was a male, it was no less disturbing how it had made her feel when she thought it was a girl. A young girl her son's age. She was having a little private crisis. And Mikey, well he was just nervous and scared.
In Jon's room, Karyn was sitting on the edge of Jon's bed crying. He whispered to himself, "Boys don't cry... boy's don't cry."
"It's okay," Jon said as she entered. It was a weird dynamic. Although both knew that this was only because of the game and Sarah's wicked prank, it felt as real as anything, especially to Karyn.
"I'm so embarrassed," he muttered, "I thought nobody knew."
"There are worse things in the world than being a boy," laughed Jon. Karyn smiled and wiped a tear from his eye. Jon then, very reluctantly asked, "So did you dress like a girl because..."
"It's complicated," Karyn whimpered. "I just don't know who I am. So I decided to play the part of the sweet neighbourhood girl."
Jon put Zoe's arm around her friend. Karyn put his head on Jon's shoulder. Mrs. Gibson stepped into the doorway.
"Um, Jon, honey... it's your turn."
They both sighed and stood up. Jon hadn't noticed that Karyn was so much taller or had wider shoulders, but suddenly it seemed very obvious he was a guy. They made their way back to the game board.
They sat back down and Jon took the dice in her hands. She rolled and got an 8. She took her card.
