"What did you want, Jon?" asked Zoe.
"Well, I actually just wanted that wishing stone." Jon thought that telling her the truth was the best way. Clear and direct.
"How do you know about my stone?"
"Actually, it's my stone. But you wouldn't remember that."
"What are you talking about?"
"I already used it to change us," Jon explained.
Zoe started to look worried. "When you say us, you mean you, me, and Karyn. Right?"
"No. Just you and me." Jon could see that she didn't understand, so he said "Why don't you just use the stone to see if I'm telling you the truth or not?"
Zoe looked down at the stone. "Okay. I wish to know everything about what Jon is talking about."
The stone flashed a bright light.
"This isn't really my life?!" Zoe yelled out.
Maybe this wasn't such a good idea, afterall, Jon thought.
