Rachel felt bad shouting at Karyn mostly because she still essentially had Jon's mind and felt like she as shouting at her friend.
She rationally knew that she was really Rachel, Jon's mom but in Jon's body with Jon's memories and with none of her own memories. As Rachel she shouldn't feel bad shouting at Karyn because she had an authority of an older person. But yeah, she didn't feel like anyone other than Jon. She also knew the original... 'soul' of Jon was now in mom's body. But it was difficult for her to think of mom as anything other than just Jon's mom.
Karyn looked to teh ground in shame.
"I'm sorry Rachel." she said "I got carried away. It is really only your call what happens to your son in your body. I still think it would teach him some good lessons!"
she looked at the stone in her hand and then at Rachel.
"I only wish you thought of yourself as Rachel and remembered that its really Jon in your real body."
The stone was passed from Karyn to Rachel, glowing warm. At that point a shift happened in Rachel's head. She no longer thought of herself as Jon even though she still had Jon's memories and body. She didn't know anything about her original life apart from the things her son knew, but at least she not felt certain she was really just his mom.
It was all very confusing to her but she really didn't want to wish for any change in her memory (like regaining her Rachel memories). That was just too scary. At least for now.
"You know Karyn this is very confusing." rachel said "On one hand I understand why Jon made the wish to swap us. I understand because I have the memories of doing it! But on the other hand I do see your point about teaching him a lesson because I bet in my orignal form I know there is more to being a woman than just having boobs even though I don't remember it now."
She sat down heavily with a sigh.
"I just wish I had it in me to make Jon regret his wish to be me..."
The stone became warm as the accidental wish was granted.
