Jon yawns, her teeth showing. Thoughts from the night filtering back in.
"Good morning my priestesses" said Bast causing the sphinx to jump.
"Oh right. It wasn't a dream was it?" she said to the goddess.
"Nope, you are now in charge of gaining worshipers for me. You should not have to worry too much about other gods. In simple words the road to the god's dimension is full with this connection. It will take a while for someone else to gain a foothold. Although they may get a chance with the increase in animal people." Bast rambles on.
Job looks at her confused. "Can you say that in a simple way?"
Bast thinks before continuing "Their is a path from my world to your world. Most of the path is now mine. For someone else to expand will take a lot of effect."
Jon thinks "I think I sort of see it, anyway you said you needed power here?"
"Yes, as I gain worshipers, the power collects and then comes back along the path. Most of the power though will need to be collected and stored in temples."
she waves he hand at Jon "I can however give you a taste of your heat cycle though"
Jon only had time to mutter a brief "what..." before her body reacted. Her mind flooded with thoughts of becoming a mother.
The thoughts quickly vanish though. "What did you do that for?" she asked almost growling a Bast.
"Well you need to be comfortable with that part of your self. It also allowed me to do something I think you might like." She says grinning.
"What?"
"I have put a delay on it, so until you are ready, you don't need to worry about that side of things. I will help you as much as you want."
The sphinx perks up "That. That is actually helpful I think. Thank you"
She smiles "If my priestess is happy, then she will help me much more. Their is a downside though. Should either of us dissolve the partnership you will have to deal with all of the delayed days in a row."
"Ah" said Jon.
"For the short term, I need a temple with an altar, to store the power. Also if you could find someone to be my champion. Karyn might be a good choice their. But I think your sisters are going to need your help this morning. They got an interesting effect of the virus." bast said as she retreated , her temple fading leaving only the room behind.
"Sisters? I only have one of them" said Jon to the empty air.
