Sarah let his pencil drift across the page, making "Skritch" sounds as it went. For Sarah, being able to control his pencil was at least some relief when he had lost control of everything else. He let his thoughts wander as the pencil made pointless little circles. He felt his mind calm and remembered the way he was always the top of the art class when he was younger. While all the other kindergarteners would draw stick figures, he (At the time a she) was making full bodies- Atrocious as they were compared to an actual artist, but he had been a step above others all the same. After that, he got even better- His art skills continually improving. It had been in his last year of middle school (Around the time he went from just a leader to "Queen Bee") that he dropped the subject in his curriculum in order to take more academics. It was tough at first, but he had college to think about and his art was becoming increasingly mocked and had him being called "Chickasso" by a few- A social threat that just couldn't be tolerated.

As it had been so long, Sarah had forgotten how good it felt. Eventually, he decided to put his pencil to actual use and turned (With much effort) To a fresh page. With his size, filling the whole page took over two hours, but it was worth it. At the end of it all, he feel asleep on the page in exhaustion, not even getting to behold his work until the next day (And unwittingly getting graphite streaks all over his face.

Zoe flopped down onto the couch that evening with uncharacteristic exasperation. Jon and Mikey each cast their heads from the TV to their leafy sister. Jon flitted up to her head in confusion.

"Zoe?" She asked, "Earth to Zoe?"

No response. A closer inspection revealed Zoe's eyes were totally glazed over.

She turned her head back to Mikey, "Get mom."
