Jon's grandmother left, satisfied.

A moment later, Jon suddenly awoke. He looked at the clock. Last thing I remember he thought... she wished I'd fall asleep until the morning, then all those other things. Good thing it was so close to midnight--12:01 is really morning.

Jon looked around and to his surprise, his grandmother had actually left the stone in his room. He picked it up and made a wish.

"I wish my grandmother was here, would stay here long enough to listen to what I had to say, and wouldn't try to make any more wishes until I say so!"

His grandmother popped into existence, fumbling as she tried to walk in some direction that was now occupied by the end of Jon's bed. "Jon, what did you--?"

Jon said "Enough. Grandma, of all the ways this could go wrong, I didn't expect it would be you!" He didn't even care that he was dissing a grandparent he was supposed to respect--the enormity of what his grandmother had done washed away any remaining respect he might have had for her. "First of all, I told you the stone has a range. You can't wish that it happened to the whole world the second time any more than you could do it the first time. Second, you can't reverse wishes. You can't wish that everyone wears only dresses and corsets, then say 'oh, except for diapers and jewelry'. That wish is reversing the first wish. Now, how can we fix this? I wish you'd tell me.
