BOOM!
"What the hell was that?" Doug yelled.
"Sounds like something exploded," replied Kevin.
They looked in the direction of the sound and saw an orange fiery glow coming from somewhere in the forest.
"Do you think someone crashed?" asked Doug.
"I don't know."
"Maybe we should check it out."
"Are you crazy? I'm not going out there. We should just go get help," Kevin said. The town was a couple miles away. If they hurried, they could get help. But Kevin's friend thought that it was better if they went to the crashsite themselves and help whoever was there, if it was a crashsite. Kevin gave in and went further into the woods with Doug.
As they approached the fiery light, it shifted from an orange color to an odd green color.
There was a crater, but no wreckage. Doug walked up to the edge of the crater.
"What do you see?" Kevin asked.
"Nothing." He looked around a bit more. "Wait a minute." He walked down into the crater, it was only about ten feet across.
"What is it?"
Doug walked back up to the rim of the crater and walked back to Kevin. "It's some kind of weird-looking stone."
"Let me see it," Kevin said. Doug handed it over to him. It was like no stone he had ever seen. It made a crater in the ground, though. So, it was most likely not from this planet.
He gave it back to Doug. "What are you going to do with it?"
"Put it in my stone collection?"
"You know, you could probably sell that for a lot of money."
"I don't know about that. Something tells me I should keep it," Doug said.
"Okay. Fine. But you could be a millionaire."
"Ha! Yeah, right," Doug laughed.
They headed back to their campsite, leaving the crater behind them.
