...but not this time!

I nodded, appreciating Rylen's help. I thought for a minute that perhaps I could "borrow" his expertise with the MAP, and the game, to help get myself setup normally. I held out my map to him, but he didn't take it from me. Instead, he began pressing several sets of buttons so that the LCD panel showed different sub menus. He selected option after option, typing occasionally on the screen, and standing between me and my outstreched arm, so I could barely see what he was doing. "You really should have been more careful when you chose your name..." He muttered as he worked.
Finally, after over two minutes, he smiled and shook his head. "All set to go, "Misty." Just press your thumb down on the pad to authorize the name change.
I looked down at the MAP screen, and all it said was /b"Awaiting Character Thumb Print for Authorization"/b with the outline of an oval to mark where I should press. I wanted to question him abut what he did, but I didn't want to seem really rude. I pressed my thumb onto the screen.
