Jody Elizabeth Adams was glad the day was done. It wasn't that Jody had had a hard day, but a complicated one. There was no 'going through the motions' that day; everything that Jody did felt like the first time doing it. Friends, classes, homework, all brand new. It was, of course, because until that morning, Jody had been the 28 year old Mr. Penner.

The schoolwork hadn't been that difficult; in Jody's former life he had breezed through high school, and all his memories and abilities had stayed with him. He was glad that he hadn't somehow swapped that away. Once he had figured out what his class schedule was (the former Jody had it programmed into her phone) he was able to make it, albeit lately, to his next class.

It didn't really matter that he was late. The school was a bit disorganized after everyone swapped. There were a large number of people who had swapped clothes, and it had taken time to learn to dress and move in things they had never worn before. There were a few dramatic swaps like he had done, but he was the only former teacher involved. The biggest change he had seen was that big jock Biff had swapped his girlfriend (that blonde cheerleader, Sarah something) for Tiffany's boyfriend Steve. It was strange seeing Biff and Steve, both on the football team, walking hand-in-hand down the hallway. What made it stranger was that Steve had been wearing a miniskirt.

By the time his day finished, Jody collected his books and purse, straightened his tie, and walked out of the school. He knew where Crows Foot Crescent was, just a few blocks from the campus, and easy walk. It wasn't the distance that intimidated him, though, but meeting his new family. Sucking up his courage, he purposefully strode down the sidewalk toward his new home. He hoped that his parents and whatever siblings might await him would accept their new daughter.
