Jon was scared. Karyn had been right, he hated to admit, that he hadn't thought his wish through. Instead of walking the hallway laughing at all the confused kids who had just experienced some sort of mass magical body swap, he was hiding under a desk in the school office next to Karyn (who he had just swapped shoes with) listening to the knocking of people in the hallway trying to get through the locked door.
Sure, the people in the hallway sounded calm, more curious than furious, but still, the last thing that Jon wanted was to get caught.
Jon looked at his feet. Weird, he thought, he was sure that Karyn's feet had been smaller than his, but her shoes fit him perfectly. A quick glance at his hiding partner confirmed it; her feet were smaller. In fact, so were the sneakers that he had previously worn. Should they swap back there would be no way that he would be able to fit his old shoes.
Not that he'd want to switch; not at all! Sure these Mary Janes were very girlie, but they were his. He had swapped them fair and square. His problem wasn't the shoes, however, it was how he'd get himself, shoes and all, out of this office!
