After a while of lying where Jon had deposited her, Karyn looked up at the clock.
It was 9:30 AM. They were both late for school. Personally, she couldn't seem to gather up the sense of responsibility needed to get herself up from where she currently was, but she felt that Jon, at least, should, "Jon, we're late for school."
Jon looked at the clock, noted the time, then shrugged, "Oh well, we don't really need to go today."
Karyn was curious, but still didn't feel like moving from where she was curled up against Jon. After all, if he wanted her to move he'd move her, "What do you mean?"
Jon chuckled, grinning as though he was slightly ashamed of something, "Well, when I got up this morning I was kind of excited about the stone, and having to go to school was kind of a bummer, or whatever... so I wished that you and I didn't need to go to school if we didn't want to, and, y'know, no one would interrupt us."
Karyn thought about that. That made sense. If Jon was planning on the two of them doing it, he probably wouldn't want to have to do it and have it be done before getting cleaned, dressed, and presentable in time enough to get to school. She knew that he hadn't really been thinking too much about playing with the stone so much as spending time in bed with her. And being interrupted wouldn't be good, either, for something like that. In fact, her coming over early and up to his room, early, had probably all been wished up as well.
"So you planned it all out."
Jon grinned a guilty grin, "Uh, yeah, but I didn't mean for... well, this to happen."
Karyn didn't bother even to look up at him, but on impulse rubbed her face against his chest... then sighed, "I should be mad at you." But she wasn't. She honestly didn't see all that much point in caring. After all, it wasn't really her life any more, it was Jon's. She knew that it wasn't supposed to be that way, but it was.
If nothing else, the both of them felt some remorse for the loss of the person that Karyn used to be.
After a while of that quiet contemplation, Karyn spoke up again, "So what now?"
