"You know, since you were the only one who heard the wish, the change might be obvious to you, but not to me," Karyn pointed out.
"Oh, yeah. You're right. I wish I wasn't the only one to notice, then ..."
"Jon!"
The stone in Jon's hand began to glow, forcing both of them to turn away momentarily. "Oops. I forgot I was holding it."
"That seems to be happening a lot with you," Karyn said. "Put it in your pocket," she directed.
"Good idea," he said, doing as she said.
They then headed into the school. But because of Jon's newest wish, whatever was about to happen, he wasn't going to be the only one to notice it. But not everyone will notice it. Just Jon and some others.
