Jon barely thought about Sarah for next several months. It was only when he saw her perform at the Spring Show that he remembered his peculiar wish. There she was in a conservative red dress performing a traditional rendition of "Lady of Spain." She looked a little different, he noticed. All those hours of playing had given her more upper body definition, primarily the arms and shoulders. And the sudden cessation in cardio work made her slightly softer in the face and gut. But she looked happier than ever as she took her bow, ignoring the scoffs and eye rolls from her former peers and beaming at the the cheers from the parents and staff. Though he knew he should probably leave well enough alone, Jon couldn't help but wonder how much further he could push her changes.
When he got home that night, Jon raced to his room for the stone and made a meticulously planned wish:
"I wish that Sarah would become further dedicated to her accordion and become particularly obsessed with traditional European polka music. At the end of the school year she will get an offer to go on a nine month tour with a German polka band. The band will consist of older heavy-set German men and Sarah will soon begin to reflect their personality and appearance. She will adopt a diet of rich, high calorie German food and beer. She will stop shaving her body hair, which will gradually thicken. She will pick up the German language and start using it more often than English. She will start wearing traditional German and Bavarian wardrobe almost exclusively. When she returns she will be a 250 pound, barrel voiced polka musician with a large gut, coarse body hair and a thick German accent. She will also fall in love with one of her band mates and become pregnant with his child."
Jon paused, marveling at the epic scope of his wish. He couldn't wait to see the changes unfold.
